Day 75 part 1- 12 tribes
Stoneybrook inn
These were very full of 24 hours and I will take a zero or two after this, so I will break this 24 hours in two publications.
The farm
I left Milkbone and Coolwhip last night in the shelter after the worst storm went and ran to Keys Gap in the hope of reaching the premal ‘meeting’.
They picked me up a car keys from Josiah and her beautiful daughter.
They showed me the farm and the farm and left me in the hiker cabin. The farm is a well -taken place. I can see why it is a piece of sky for these people.
The meeting
They invited me to the meeting that was held in a very large circular tent. They sang several songs while the woman and the children danced around and rounded in a circle, hand in the center.
Then they had an open discussion about biblical things and things that were important for some of the community members. After that they gave gratitude, things for which they were grateful.
The dress
The women were dressed in baggy pants and a biscuit like a colorful stamped loose shirt that went down in the middle of Quad. They also had hair lining similar to the Arab roofs of Burka in their heads, but not on their faces. Everyone wore smiles on their faces.
The men were dressed in regular pants and shirts with buttons. I found similar pants and a button shirt in the hiker box to use. The clothes of my path would have been very inappropriate.
Everyone used what looked like a white knotted rope: 1 in wide headband.
There were several children who were very beautiful and seemed very happy. By the way, I didn’t take photos.
The inner voice
I stayed there in silence watching everything. I have to admit that rumors kept bouncing in my head and something inside me told me that I needed to flee. It was silly to feel that way. These were the most friendly and peaceful humans.
The food
After the meeting, we walk to the house for a shared meal. It was a very tasty chicken salad with all cool.
An old woman offered me a fork, but everyone used silver sticks, so I decided to eat with sticks too. The César chicken salad was so tasty. Everything was fresh from his farm. Everyone worked as a team to get the meals and then clean later. All had assigned duties and everyone fulfilled their duties after the food finished. Everyone just made their part of the shared workload. Everyone seemed so happy.
Love
«Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your might.» There is no greater commandment than these. «
Mark 12: 30-31.
I had an argument with Roee about the love of your neighbor. He was an old gentleman and did not seem to have an assigned task that he needed to take care of at that moment. He took the time to explain his way of life and we had a deep discussion about the love of his neighbor. After that meal I returned to the litera room to call it one night.
The morning
The cold front that moved violently last night left very cold temperatures this morning. I slept very well in one of the three cabins that had here on the farm of 12 tribes. I was the solitary hiker, although they had space for 12. They also had a really pleasant bathroom in the hill.
The farm was immaculate and very well cared for. All buildings looked very well cared for.
They had three bunk beds with each one. The bathroom house had a hiker room, a front porch with comfortable chairs, a washing machine and dryer, two bathrooms and two showers. He was one of the most pleasant hikers of any shelter along the way so far.
I went to the hiker’s bathroom and took a wonderful hot shower. It was a beautiful bathroom house that had built only for hikers. I had the place for me.
Cleaning
In the hiker room of Bath House I made a cup of dark coffee. There was no sugar. The fed cream seemed that it had not been used for months, so I also did not use any cream.
The food last night had many things that could add, such as salt, pepper and spices, but it was a simple meal. The food included water without ice.
Badss said that he spent 2 weeks there once and at the end of the first week all toxins are cleaned from his body. The 12 tribes grow all around the world. They control everything that enters their bodies. It is a very clean way of life. We pump toxins to our body all the time, especially as hikers.
Breakfast
This morning they had another meeting before breakfast. The meeting this morning was to help the youngest parents and give them some guidance on the raising of the children. They act as a community to help young families raise children.
The children were beautiful children who seemed very happy. These children do not have the poisons of the society that weigh them.
After the meeting, they had some songs and then everyone raised their arms, including me and recited a couple of prayers from different people thanking God for several things.
Then we went to the main house for breakfast. They had yerba mate tea that is grown on their farm in South America and then sent to North Carolina, where they add spices. They also had a mixture of apple drinks that is supposed to be really good for cleaning their body. Breakfast was a great homemade granola bowl with nuts and fruits. You can add fresh apples or bananas. And cows milk was available, in addition to having boiled eggs available.
The injury
I had some deep conversations with several of the older men about life. One of them suggested that I stay and make my zeros there on the farm while heals my injury. Wisely they advised him that I don’t need to strive too much until he cures.
I considered staying, since it was so warm and cozy and it was such an experience, but I had an impulse to return to the road and get to Harper Ferry.
Clean water
After the food, I asked about a trip back to the path and aligned me to return to the path. First we stopped in his Deli on the edge of the city. I asked him if I could fill my water bottles.
An old woman behind the counter told me that she did not want to fill my bottle of water with the city’s water because she had chlorine and chemicals. She gave me a bottle of gallon of spring water to fill my water bottles.
I also told them that I would like to buy one of their oatmeal cookies. When I went to pay, she refused to accept my money. Another person gave me two homemade green bars, I’m not sure what they are. They left me on the path at Keys Gap. What experience.
