AC Milan and Inter Milan announced similarities with architectural firms Foster + Partners and Manica to design a new stadium if the city council approves the San Siro sale to the clubs.
The choice, announced on Tuesday, comes after the clubs had chosen another company, Populous, above the design of Manica-CMR Sportium in 2021.
Last week, the city council issued provisional approval for sale, with 99-year-old San Siro and surrounding areas with a value of 197 million euros ($ 233 million), according to Italy tax agent.
The new location of 71,500 seats will be part of an urban regeneration project with approximately 281,000 square meters (more than 3 million square feet), the clubs said in a joint statement without visual plans.

The new stadium «will contain two large layers with a slope that is designed to guarantee optimum visibility from each section,» the clubs added. «It will also meet the highest accessibility standards that offer special experiences for all fans and offer sections with affordable prices.»
Both clubs have back supplance to build new stadiums on the suburbs of Milan if the deal with the city in front of the San Siro falls through it.
San Siro is planned to organize the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina in February.
The idea is to have a new stadium ready for when Italy together with Turkey the European Championship 2032 with Turkey Hostt.
«Uefa tells us that they are not considering Milan,» said Mayor Giuseppe Sala: «If the San Siro stays as it is.»
Foster + Partners and the Projects of Manica include Wembley Stadium in London, Chase Center in San Francisco and Lusail Stadium in Qatar.
