AC Milan signs Christopher Nunku from Chelsea


AC Milan signed dribbling expert Christopher Nunku from Chelsea on Saturday for a reported reimbursement of 37 million euros ($ 43 million).

The French player signed a five -year contract, Milan announced without providing financial details.

The 27-year-old Noekunku came through the youth system of Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Leipzig in 2019. He spent the last two seasons in Chelsea and his extra-time goal led to a victory over Benfica in the round of 16 at the club World Cup-Die Chelsea Winning in July. He scored 18 goals in 62 games for Chelsea.

Known for his 1-on-1 skills and speed with the ball, Nunku will be calculated to add pace to the attack of Milan. He can play as an attacking midfielder as an attacker. He has made 14 performances for France.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca said in August that Nunku would no longer be part of the team-nadat he had connected a six-year-old deal in 2023, it was worth 52 million pounds (almost $ 70 million).

«Christo is a fantastic professional,» said Maresca Friday. «The only problem with him is that we have Cole Palmer in his position, so it was hard to find minutes for him.»

Milan bounced back from a loss in the San Siro to promote Cremonese in his Serie A opener with a 2-0 win over Lecce on Friday.
