AFC Asian Cup qualifications Singapore announces a team for matches on the third round against India

Singapore announced a team of 26 men on Monday for the two AFC Asian Cup Third round qualifications-first at home and then away to India.

The Lions will organize India at the National Stadium on October 9 before traveling to Goa for the return set -up five days later.

Singapore is currently at the top of the qualifying group C-with four points after two games, after a 2-1 victory against Bangladesh in June.

«The September FIFA window was aimed at preparing these two important games against India, because we want to place ourselves in a good position for the rest of the qualifying campaign,» said the interim head coach of Singapore, Gavin Lee.

«There were positive points that we will look at, and also lessons about ourselves that we have taken away.»
