The Indian U-17 women’s team coach Joakim Alexanderon mentioned a 23-person team for the AFC U-17 Ladies Asian Cup China 2026 qualifications that take place later this month.
The qualifications are planned to be held between 13 and 17 October in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan Republic, with India placed in a three-team Groep G.
In its opener, India will be confronted with host Kyrgyzstan Republic on 13 October, before taking Uzbekistan on 17 October. Both games are played in the Omurzakov Stadium Dolen and starts at 6:30 PM ist. The group winners will be eligible for the final tournament of 12 teams in China next year.
After winning the Saff U17 Women’s Championship in Bhutan in August, the young Tigresses had continued their training camp in Bengaluru before they shifted the base to Goa.
The Indian team will arrive in Bishkek on Tuesday 7 October to help acclimatize the relatively cooler weather in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
