The All India Football Federation (AIFF) held its executive committee meeting at the Football House in New Delhi on Sunday sa8skz.
The meeting had three main topics on the agenda:
-
Implementation of the National Sports Governance Act (NSGA)
-
Bids for commercial rights of the Indian Super League (ISL), Federation Cup and the Indian Women’s League
-
Next steps to ensure transparent finalization of bids after consultation with clubs
«The meeting was convened mainly for the Constitution. We have the National Sports Governance Act (NSGA) and as phase one of its implementation, we are going to write to all the states,» AIFF Deputy General Secretary M. Satyanarayan told reporters. Sports stars.
The Federation has decided to give state associations until ‘about June’ to follow the NSGA-compliant AIFF Constitution, after which they, along with the others, will be eligible for Federation national elections.
«The government, as you know, has asked us to postpone all National Federation elections until December. We have written to the AFC and FIFA about this, and they have approved it, asking them to just keep them informed,» Satyanarayan added.
Secondly, the AIFF presented bids to the committee: Capri Sports (Package B: IWL/IWL 2) and FanCode and Genius Sports (Package A: ISL/Federation Cup).

Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) has not submitted an official bid in response to the tender.
Although there were unofficial discussions involving the former Master Rights Agreement holder, these took place after the March 26 deadline for submitting commercial bids. Accordingly, contrary to an earlier report, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has not rejected any bid from FSDL
«The next step will be to inform the general body because it is more than five million. Next week we will get the two bidders for Package A to speak to the clubs, who are one of our key stakeholders, to answer their queries,» Satyanarayan added.
The meeting, which had a quorum, decided to seek assistance from one of the four major accounting and accounting firms in the world, probably KPMG, for a comparative study of both bids.
«That will help all of us make an informed decision because it is a long-term contract. Then we will decide who we go with after we ratify it by the general body,» he said.
«The new season will start from June 1. The Durand Cup will start in July. So once this process is completed, perhaps around April 15 we will ask all ISL clubs to express their interest in the 2026-2027 season so that we can get their confirmation.»
