AIFF forms a panel with three members to supervise the selection of a new commercial partner; Super Cup Dates announced

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has formed a three -part committee, under the leadership of former Judge Justeswara Rao, to supervise the entire tendering process for selecting his new commercial partner, according to a directive from the Supreme Court (SC).

The order of 2 September of the SC, for which a case with regard to the composition of the AIFF has also been processed, had also cleared the way for performing the Indian Super League (ISL), which had been on hold by the organizer FSDL since 11 July, which is also the current commercial partner of the National Federation.

«To supervise the selection process, the Executive Committee (from the AIFF) decided to form a three-part bid evaluation committee (BEC). The BEC will be chaired by Hon’ble Justice L. Naandeswara Rao, former judge of the Supreme Court of India,» said the Aiff in a statement on Sunday.

The other two officials of the Commission are Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Audit and Compliance Committee Member Kesavaran Murugasu and Aiff President Kalyan Chaubey.

The decision to form the three-person committee was taken after a virtual meeting on Saturday by the AIFF Executive Committee. The AIFF also decided to keep the Super Cup tournament – a domestic tournament that is open to clubs over several layers – from 25 October to 22 November in a phased way.

«(The Executive Committee) approved the process of the Federation to Quotation (RFQ) for selecting an agency to manage and to know the rights to earn AIFF’s commercial property,» said the Aiff.

«Moreover, the AIF’s MRA Task Force Committee, which was founded on 7 April 2025 during the AIFF Executive Committee meeting, will continue as the procurement committee to evaluate the recommendations of the professional services,» it added.
