Aiff Shortlists Khalid, Constantine and Tarkovic for the role of Men’s Team head coach


The technical committee of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced on Wednesday that it had three people on the shortlist for the head coach of the Indian men’s football team.

Jamshedpur FC coach Khalid Jamil, former boss Stephen Constantine, and former national manager of Kyrgyzstan, Stefan Tarkovic, the three names have been nominated for the job.

The post was empty after Manolo Marquez went separately with the men’s national team earlier this month.

The committee announced that it «carefully received 170 applications received earlier this month» before it dressed the list.

«The TC has recommended the CVs of the three nominated candidates at the Executive Committee, which will take the last call about who will be the next Blue Tigers head coach,» Aiff said.

Former India player and current assistant coach of Bengaluru FC, Renedy Singh, was also a name that made rounds during the selection process but did not make it.
