The third round of matches in Group B of the AIFF Super Cup 2025-26 holds little significance as defending champions FC Goa have already qualified for the semi-finals.
The Gaurs, with wins against Jamshepur FC and Inter Kashi, became the first team to participate in the last four on October 29.
However, Manolo Marquez – Goa’s head coach – could use this match against NorthEast United to give opportunities to more youngsters as his side are eyeing a perfect record in the group stages.
The Spanish tactician’s penchant for nurturing young Indians saw Hrithik Tiwari and Ayush Dev Chhetri step up their game last season, while Ronney Willson Kharbudon and Prachit Gaonkar have had impressive spells this season.

Javier Siverio, who came off the bench in the last game, is expected to replace Dejan Drazic, who has now started three games in seven days and scored twice.
Goa’s opponents, NorthEast United, will be playing for pride after being eliminated from the tournament despite not losing a match so far.
Highlanders coach Juan Pedro Benali had turned up hoping Goa would drop points in the second match, but left for the food kiosk before half-time, with the Gaurs leading 3-0.
But the day marks a special occasion for Inter Kashi, who will officially lift the I-League trophy after the final group match against Jamshedpur FC at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim.
Kashi’s opponents, Jamshedpur, got the first point of the tournament in Bambolim after drawing 2-2 against NorthEast. The Men of Steel will be hoping for more magic from new signing Raphael Messi Bouli, whose late equalizer secured the draw against the Highlanders.
