Last year, Blanc took the lead of Al-Eittihad and led the team to a domestic double and won both the competition title and the King’s Cup.
However, the team started the new season by leaving the Saudi Super Cup in the semi-final after a loss for Al-Nassr, before he ran a second defeat on Friday for the Riyad-based side in the competition.
