Altay Bayindir will continue in the goal for Manchester United in the Derby match against Manchester City on Sunday despite the signing of Belgium International Senne Lammens late in the summer transfer window.
The position of the goalkeeper has been problematic for United Manager Ruben Amorim, who sent the number 1 of Andre Onana from last year to Turkish club to Turkish club.
Bayindir has made a number of controversial errors, in particular of balls in the box, on the occasions he has replaced onana, but the faith of Amorim retains after Lammens-a non-announced 23-year-old from Belgium-Werd brought in from Royal Antwerp.

«Altay continues,» Amorim said Friday. “Because it is a different competition, it is a different country, different training sessions, different ball. So we will try to keep that.
«They will fight for the position. It is clear for this game, Altay will start.»
Lammens is largely unknown outside his native country and Amorim said he is a keeper with ‘great potential’.
«I know that the moment the goalkeeper really needs to be strong and have a lot of experience,» he said, «but we are also the moment we have to look at the present and also a focus on the future.»
Lammens, Amorim added, is a keeper who can «give us different things» and can become the number 1 in United States «for many years».
Upon the departure of Onana, Amorim added: «In this club the pressure is sometimes so difficult in every detail. Sometimes you need a change.»
