Manchester United achieved a much-needed first victory of the season for under-Fire manager Ruben Amorim, but needed a 97th minute Bruno Fernandes penalty to beat the newly promoted Burnley 3-2.
After leaving the League Cup to the fourth Tier Grimsby Town on Wednesday, the Red Devils blew the lead twice in Old Trafford on Saturday.
But they were stored in a stop time when Fernandes, who missed a penalty in last weekend’s 1-1 draw in Fulham, scored from the place after a VAR review for a pull on Amad Diallo.
Victory takes United on four points of the opening of three Premier League matches and illuminates the pressure on Amorim prior to an international break of two weeks.

«I am not thinking of turning points,» Amorim said after achieving his eighth victory in 30 Premier League matches that are in charge. «I had this conversation with you (the media) like 10 times, so it’s every day … We have a lot to do, but we have returned to our level today.»
The 20-way English champion had the newest and greatest shame of Amorim’s rule to lose in the history of the club in the midweek for the first time in the history of the club in the history of the club.
The Portuguese coach may have doubts about his future in the aftermath and says: «Something has to change» and that he would «think through things».
‘Hard’ for United ‘keepers
Amorim dropped keeper Andre Onana after his role in both Grimsby goals, but his replacement Altay Bayindir has endured a difficult afternoon.

United has been associated with a relocation for Senne Lammens of Antwerp as a solution for the goalkeeper problems before the transfer deadline of Monday.
«It’s hard to be a goalkeeper of Manchester United at the moment. But if you look at the first goal, we can better defend the box,» Amorim added. «The players struggle a bit with all the things in the club, that’s normal. So it’s not just the keepers, I think everyone should improve.»
