Newcastle United attacker Anthony Gordon has apologized to his teammates and supporters after being sent by Liverpool in St James’ Park on Monday in the 3-2 Premier League defeat.
In the first half of the interruption time, Gordon was sent for a result that stud marking on the back of the Liverpool Captain Virgil van Dijk-being first yellow card was upgraded to a red by referee Simon Hooper.

«I really want to apologize to my teammates and the fans. My intentions were pure. I just tried to create energy in the game and I dressed the tackle,» Gordon posted on social media.
The 24-year-old English international also apologized to Van Dijk.
«I would never intend to tackle such a person like that. We spoke afterwards and he knows,» added the former Everton wing player.
