The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 starts the knockout phase of the tournament, since Brazilian silk Palmeiras and Botafogo are confronted in the first round of 16 match on the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Four teams from Brazil have passed the group phase, while Lionel Messi-guided Inter Miami has also obtained a place in the last 16. Miami will be confronted with the UEFA Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain, while Manchester City’s Hiladi Lay phase.
Are there extra time and penalties in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025?
If the scores are in the FIFA Club World Cup Knockouts after 90 minutes, two extra time periods are played.
If the teams are still bound after extra time, the competition will be punished.
