Argentina, the defending champions, will hope to complete their title defense preparations in style when they play Iceland in a FIFA World Cup warm-up match on Tuesday.
La Albiceleste come into the match on the back of a 2-0 win over Honduras, and the encounter against Iceland will be the final preparatory match. Lionel Scaloni, who tested his strength in that match, spared only one player from his team in that match: the captain and record scorer Lionel Messi.
The 38-year-old will try to get some minutes on the pitch against Iceland before the World Cup starts on June 11.
Argentina has been drawn into Group J at the World Cup and is currently at the top of the FIFA rankings after beating the Hondurans. It opens the quadrennial showpiece against Algeria on June 16.
