Brighton and Cameroon -midfielder Carlos Baleba will probably stay with the club, even though it is linked to a transfer to Manchester United, according to several reports.
Baleba made an impression in the heart of Brighton’s midfield during the 2024-25 season when Brighton finished eighth in the Premier League. The seagulls signed the midfielder from Lille last summer, and he was generally expected to take on the role through Moises Caicedo, who moved to Chelsea.
Manchester United was seen as the most likely destination of Baleba, but according to reports, the level of transfer costs needed to convince Brighton was too high for the Red Devils.
Baleba would be part of the extensive summer structure of Manchester United, so that it has signed a large number of players, including Bryan Mbuemo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Diego Leon, because it seems to bounce back from a disappointing fifteenth place that was finished last season.
