Bangladesh strengthened his hope for making the 2026 AFC AFC AFC AFC Asian Cup after leaving Timor Leste 8-0 in a qualification on Friday at the New Laos National Stadium in Vientiane.
Moti Trishna Rani scored a hat trick while Sagorika yielded a bracket. Sinha Jahan Sikha, Puja Das and Munki Akhter scored a goal each.
This is the second consecutive victory in the qualifications after it defeated the host Laos 3-1 with thanks to a brace of Sagorika and a goal from Munki.
With this victory, Bangladesh exceeds a group H with six points, since South Korea will play Laos later in the day.
It will be confronted in South Korea on 10 August, which can be a decisive match for the first place in the group. On the other hand, while Timor Leste is already out of the running, things look pretty bleak for Laos.
