Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has a successful back operation

Viewant of Barcelona, Marc-André ter Stegen, underwent a successful back operation on Tuesday, the club said.

Barcelona did not say how long will be put aside, but the player had said that the recovery time would be about three months.

Ter Stegen needed the operation to tackle persistent lower back problems.

The 33-year-old German missed almost the entire previous season because of a tendon break in his knee, and in 2023 he missed about two months due to another return.

Barcelona added Espanyol -goalkeeper Joan García to his team last month. Iñaki Peña was the goalkeeper of the team of the team last season.
