Barcelona injury -update – Raphinha, Garcia out for Barca vs PSG in Champions League; Fit Lamine Yamal?

On Friday, Barcelona suffered a double injury strap with wing player Raphinha and keeper Joan Garcia excluded from coming matches, including next week’s Champions League collision against Paris Saint-Germain.

Brazil International Raphinha will miss three weeks with a hamstring injury in the 3-1 victory of the Spanish champion over Real Oviedo on Thursday in La Liga, Barcelona said in a statement.

In the meantime, the Spanish Stop Garcia sustained a meniscus injury in his left knee and the club said that he will miss «between four and six weeks».

Garcia will be replaced in Doel by the Polish veteran Wojciech Szczesny, where Marc-Andre ter Stegen also recovers from a back operation.

Raphinha should return on October 26 for the Billa against Rival Real Madrid, but Garcia will only be able to return if his injury heals at the faster end of the expected recovery schedule.

Barcelona will have winger Lamine Yamal back for Sunday’s league match against Real Sociedad after a groin injury.

«Hey! I am back,» wrote the Teenage Star in a message on Instagram, referring to his return to action after missing the last four games of the team.

Barcelona Trails La Liga leader Real Madrid with two points and opened his Champions League campaign with a 2-1 win in Newcastle.
