Barcelona midfielder Gavi is recovering from a knee injury and will be available after the international break, said manager Hansi Flick prior to Sunday’s la Liga match in Rayo Vallecano.
The 21-year-old Spaniard injured his right knee in training on Friday after playing in the first matches of Barcelona of the season.
«The plan is that Gavi is available for the Valencia competition (on September 14). We will see how he is progressing. He is better today than yesterday. We are positive,» Flick told reporters on Saturday.
Gavi made 26 league games in the Title-winning campaign of Barcelona after returning in October of a dismissal of 11 months with an ACL injury to his right knee.

«It will be a tough match against a team that competes very well. Every game is different and the intensity is always very high,» said Flick.
Barcelona, a semi -finalist of the Champions League last year, organizes Paris St Germain and is confronted with competitions in Chelsea and Newcastle United during the competition phase of this season.
«There are some big games,» said Flick about the draw. «For a team like Barca, the goal is to win the Champions League. It’s the best competition.»
