After two years in exile while Camp Nou was renovated, Barcelona will return to the stadium for public training on November 7, the club announced on Friday.
Capacity for the event will be limited to 23,000, less than a quarter of the 105,000 the stadium is expected to hold once the badly delayed construction is complete.
“FC Barcelona’s first men’s football team will officially return to Spotify Camp Nou this Friday, November 7, to hold an open training for the Barca fan,” the club said on its website.
Tickets cost five euros ($5.77) for club members and 10 euros for the general public, with proceeds going to the club’s charity for sick children, Barcelona said.
More than two years after the start of renovation work, the famous stadium is still not ready to host matches, even though its capacity has been reduced.
“This session will also serve as a technical and operational test to ensure the proper functioning of systems, access points and various aspects of the facility, as part of the stadium’s gradual reopening process,” the club said.

The city’s fire department has raised concerns about evacuation routes, among other things.
Barcelona originally hoped to reopen the ground last November, but work has been hit by a series of delays.
The city council is only prepared to approve a capacity of 27,000 spectators, prompting the club to continue playing at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuic until they can return to Camp Nou in front of at least 45,000 people.
The delay in work means a huge financial loss for the club, which needs the income from the stadium to regain stability.
Financially troubled Barcelona is estimated to spend 1.5 billion euros on reconstruction.
