The Spanish champion Barcelona Women are taking on the top players of Liga MX Femenil in the inaugural ‘Duelo de Estrellas’ (All-Star Game) in Monterrey next month, the Mexican competition announced Monday.
The Showcase match will be set on August 22 in Estadio Universitario in the capital of the Mexican northern state of Nuevo Leon, and will contain players of all 18 League MX Femenil teams towards the three-stern Ladies League winners.
«The duel of the stars is an important step in the growth of the League MX Femenil,» the competition said in a statement.

Players were selected based on their performance during the season, including planning target maker Charlyn Corral, and with the help of an index score. Three players are chosen by fans and two are added as ‘surprise’ selections.
Barcelona will also play Mexican second-year club America in Mexico City on 24 August as part of his preseason prior to his League F-opener against Alhama CF on August 31.
