Barcelona’s Spanish midfielder Fermin Lopez has been ruled out for the next two weeks due to a calf injury, the club announced on Thursday.
“Fermin has a minor injury to the soleus muscle in his right leg and his estimated recovery time is approximately two weeks,” the team said.
The 22-year-old will miss three La Liga matches against Alaves, Atletico Madrid and Real Betis, and is also doubtful for the Champions League match at home to Eintracht Frankfurt on December 9 mxks.

The midfielder had established himself as a regular starter under Hansi Flick, even though he is not yet a household name outside Spain.
Lopez made 46 appearances for Flick last season, mainly as a substitute as Barcelona won a domestic treble.
He was injured in late September and returned to the team, scoring five goals and setting up four more in six games.
Second in La Liga, Barcelona lost 3-0 to Chelsea in the Champions League this week.
