Barcelona vs Real Madrid: Complete list of Spanish Super Cup winners ahead of El Clasico final


Barcelona will attempt to win a record 16th Spanish Super Cup when they take on arch-rivals Real Madrid in the final of this edition on Sunday (Monday in IST).

This is the fourth consecutive meeting between the two teams in the competition’s top clash. Last year, the Catalans defeated Los Blancos 5-2 in the final thanks to a brace from Raphinha and goals from Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde, while Kylian Mbappe and Rodrygo scored for Real.

The tournament was introduced in 1982 as a two-team competition between the winners of the La Liga and the Copa del Rey. In 2019, it was further expanded to a four-team competition, with the winners and runners-up of both the domestic league and the cup participating.
