Barcelona went back to Camp Nou in August


Barcelona will return to Camp Nou in August after two years of reconstruction work, the club announced on Wednesday.

The return takes place on 10 August during the traditional seasonal Joan Gamper-Trophy. However, the club noted that the event will take place while the construction work will continue in different parts of the stadium.

«Remaining works include the completion of the new third row, the double VIP ring, the roof installation and the finishing touches to different interior spaces, as well as the urban development of the surrounding area of ​​the stadium,» Barcelona said in a statement.

Barcelona played for two years in the Olympic stadium of the city and this season won the La Liga during the massive overhaul to create a house of 105,000 capacity that would be the largest football stadium in Europe.

The stadium is also a potential candidate to organize the 2030 World Cup final that will host Spain together with Portugal and Morocco.
