Bayern Munich confirms that Jamal Musiala is set aside for ‘long period’


Bayern Munich -midfielder Jamal Musiala will be away from action for a long period after a horrible injury during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 quarter -final match against PSG, the club confirmed on Sunday.

Musiala was stretched during the break after an ankle injury after bumping with Donnarumma while disputing for the ball.

Even the goalkeeper, who did not show any signs of bad intention, was desperate after seeing the size of Musiala’s injury.

«Exams by the doctors of the German champions have revealed that the attacking midfielder suffered a break from the Fibula associated with a broken and disrupted ankle,» Bayern said in a statement.

«The 22-year-old flew from Orlando to Munich on Sunday morning and will be operated on soon,» it added.

PSG then won the game 2-0, thanks to goals from Desire Done and Ousmane Dembele, despite being reduced to nine men after William Pacho and Lucas Hernandez were sent.

PSG will be confronted with Real Madrid in the semi -final.
