Bayern Munich -midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic’s breakdown with injuries and illness seems to have been beaten again, because he joins Jamal Musiala on the list of players with injuries before the new season starts.
The German champion said on Saturday that Pavlovic has undergone surgery after breaking his eye cooker in a team training session on Friday.
Bayern did not say exactly how the injury happened or how long Pavlovic would be out, just that he «has a enchantment on the sidelines.»
The 21-year-old Pavlovic is considered one of the best young defensive midfielders in the world, but has already collected a list of absences for Soms-viewing injuries and illness.

Pavlovic struggled with tonsillitis in his breakthrough 2023-24 season and was excluded from the German team for Euro 2024 with illness. Last season he had spells with a collarbone fracture and glandular fever.
In the meantime, Musiala, one of the most important members of Bayern in midfield, is expected that they will only return towards the end of the year, after having sustained a horrible injury during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
Bayern’s new season starts against Stuttgart in the German Super Cup on August 16.
