Bournemouth Signs Keeper Petrovic from Chelsea for a five -year -old deal

Bournemouth has signed keeper Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea with a five-year contract, both Premier League parties announced on Wednesday, with media reports that say that the deal was worth 25 million pounds ($ 33.44 million).

The signing of the 25-year-old Serbia International came after Kepa Arrizabalaga, the first choirer of Bournemouth, on loan from Chelsea last season, earlier this month at Arsenal.

Mark Travers from Ireland, a backup keeper for Bournemouth, also left for Everton for a four-year-old deal on Tuesday.

Petrovic made 23 Premier League performances for Chelsea in 2023-24. He was lent last year to Strasbourg, where he was called the player of the season after he had helped them qualify for the Playoff round of the UEFA Conference League with a seventh place in Ligue 1.

«I came to Bournemouth because I want to grow and I want to play at the best level,» Petrovic said in a statement.

Bournemouth, who finished ninth last season, starts their Premier League campaign with a visit to Champions Liverpool on August 15.
