Day 35: 27.2 miles
The highlight: ancient cabin, sheep, slag, fusion lakes.
I woke up this morning and the store was almost dry despite the storms during the night. The strong winds collected early in the morning and dried most of the team.
After packing the camp, I made an essential breakfast and talked with a full circle and midnight. I hurt my left chin a little and told them that I was going to take a slower pace today so as not to aggravate it. I left while they had breakfast and packed and walked on my own until we met at lunchtime.
In the morning, a few miles of the day, I went through an old abandoned cabin in the forest. From there, the path followed Sheep Creek and several crossings of streams. The rocks were wet by rain and slippery and, indeed, in my first step of rock, my foot slid towards cold water and had wet feet in the morning.

Today’s walk included a climb of almost 8 miles to a mountain pass, and I heard a podcast to help spend time.
In the afternoon, the storm clouds entered again as they have done the last days and began thunder. The good thing about the storms in the afternoon is that the afternoon cools and hides the sun in these mountain climbs in the afternoon.
The three we met again in a lake called Slag-A-Fofley around 5 pm and decided to have dinner early before the storm entered. I was very sad to eat in the rain yesterday, so this sounded like a great idea. Dinner and rest gave me renewed energy and kept walking 5 more miles before camping at night through a nameless lake.
Day 36: 26.6 miles.
The highlight: Margaritas Trail.
I fell asleep fast and hard after heading around the 8 pm I had dreams that mixed with what I thought it was reality with people chatting gently in the distance and a dog howling. The dog woke me enough to make me think I was in a real bed in the city, just to find me in my store. There are wolves in the area, so it could have been the noise of the animals I heard in the middle of the night.
I woke up and I was still a bit sore on the heels of the big day. Most of the days I can go to bed a little sore and wake up feeling renewed and painless, but not today. When I uploaded the first pass of the day, my right hip began to let me know that I was also painful.
I took a break in the middle of the morning to stretch and took a slower pace this morning. I met with a full circle and midnight for lunch in a stream and enjoyed a break in the shade. In the afternoon, there was more escalation and I put an audiobook called Leather & Lark.
Today’s land was a mixture of meadows, pine forest and exposed rocks. Water was abundant of streams, streams, lakes and ponds. There were so many water sources that many remained without a name.
In the afternoon, as usual, the last days, the clouds rolled and thunder threatened, although it only rained for a few minutes.
I had the luxury of dinner at Camp Rain Free and decided that today it would be the perfect day to enjoy my birthday gift from Ghost Pepper of Trail Margaritas. Each one received a photo of tequila, mixture of margarita, juice of lime and bitter orange and mix our own cocktails. It was a pleasure to pack something special for my next birthday and I was glad to carry more than several ounces of weight in my backpack.
Trail Margaritas!
Tonight I also felt that I had more energy than yesterday, but I still managed to sleep around 8:30 pm tomorrow we planned to start approximately one hour before we have been, since there are more dry stretching (less water availability) and we want to face them the coldest climate so that we do not have to carry so much.
Day 37: 26.1 miles
The highlight: Sunrise at a glance. Ridgeline Mountain View. Lemhi Pass. Dinner at a picnic table!
This morning I had an alarm established for 5:40 am, but I woke up a few minutes before I started to pack my belongings. I was on the way at 6:03 am. The morning began with a great climb up to a look and the sunrise in the views was incredible. I could listen to Pika making noise when I approached the rock summit.

We were lucky to have a cloudy climate today for the walking and ridiculing exposed. Today, both water sources were out of the way and took 2 liters of streams. In the second water source there was a social path conducted from the dirt road and joined the CDT and avoided additional miles after the path that left and then returned and connected to the path again.
Today for lunch I had my last croissant with almond butter. I intended to pack a lunch from the city, but I found nothing in Mr. Ts, so tomorrow I plan to eat some of my additional snacks to invent the missing lunch. This stretch was much more hungry with the biggest mile days, so I will take into account more calories in my next replenishment. I am in no way starving here, but I can eat more, I need it, since I am burning so many calories of the day of exercise.
In the afternoon I heard an audiobook and entered a small burning area, then I continued next to the Idaho Montana border. There were great brands to mean the border line while walking today.

The day ended in Lemhi Pass and the Sacajawa monument. There were bathrooms, access to a transmission and picnic tables. We were 7 of us at the camp tonight; 1 Nobo, another group of 3 headers Sobo, Midnight, Full Circle and me. It was fun to catch up with Trail Talk, we compared our dinners and snacks, and since we were all in the camp before 6 pm, there was a long time to socialize before entering the store to bed at night.
