Champions League 2025-26: Arsenal beat Slavia Prague 3-0 to maintain perfect record; Napoli and Juventus draw

Mikel Merino scored twice from a Bukayo Saka penalty in the first half as Arsenal brushed aside Slavia Prague 3-0 on Tuesday and maintained their 100 percent record in the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League with four wins from four games without conceding a goal.

England winger Saka put the Premier League leaders ahead in the 32nd minute at the Fortuna Arena after Gabriel’s header struck the raised hand of Slavia captain Lukas Provod, and a VAR review confirmed the handball.

Merino, replacing Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres, who was injured at the weekend, made it 2-0 on the volley 36 seconds into the second half after a cross from the unmarked Leandro Trossard.

He put Arsenal 3–0 ahead in the 68th minute with a header that blazed past goalkeeper Jakub Markovic after Declan Rice had fired the ball into the area.

Arsenal, who brought on 15-year-old Max Dowman in the second half to become the youngest ever player in the Champions League, have not conceded a goal in eight consecutive games in all competitions, equaling a club record set in 1903.

Slavia is still without a win in the competition phase and remains on two points.

Napoli held a 0-0 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt

Meanwhile, Italian champions Napoli were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Eintracht Frankfurt in a match with few scoring opportunities and even fewer in the way of entertainment.

The hosts looked to bounce back from a 6-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven last time out, and although they kept a clean sheet, Napoli will be disappointed not to have made the most of their home advantage. It moves up to four points in the rankings.

Frankfurt are also on four points after all three previous games ended 5-1, with Germany losing the last two. Napoli host Qarabag on November 25, while Eintracht welcome Atalanta the following day.

Another Italian giant, Juventus, are still without a win in the league this season after Sporting recorded a 1-1 draw in Turin as Maximiliano Araujo put the visitor ahead and Dusan Vlahovic equalized for the hosts.

A run of eight games without a win in all competitions led to the recent sacking of Juventus coach Igor Tudor and, after two wins since then, another draw in Europe, this time under Luciano Spalletti, left the Italians on three points from four games.

Sporting now moves up to seven points
