Somehow, throughout the night, my socks did not dry. They did it in 501! Maybe it should have been more deliberate to make them in sight of the sun. If there was a sun. Even when it has been dry during the past week, I have not seen the skin or hair of the sun in a long time seems. I really want to convey my things. But there has not been the opportunity. I suppose this better than being hot all the time? No, I think I would appreciate being dry at some point …, again, you are never dry in the AT.
It is difficult to describe how demoralizing is waking up and walking on the rain. Each system of your body begs you to remain in the shelter in which you are. You are hot! You are cozy. And the most notable, you are dry. But, while I was sluggling in my wet socks and a pair of dry socks, I sighed, resigning my destiny. You should probably get a second set of coatings. Whatever … not that I will import. When I took my first step outside … my feet were soaked almost instantly. It turns out that, when it is raining, everything gets wet anyway.

And yet, «without rain, there would be no coffee. And who would like to walk without coffee?» Caffeine has become the only thing that really pushes me out of bed towards the forest. After a good drink and a free apple from the owner of the motel, at least it was in a good mood to start pushing. At least the climbing of the city today was not as bad as yesterday. Things to expect.

I definitely need a zero. Not mentally, but physically. The rocks in Pennsylvania won me, not necessarily because of the land itself, although that certainly did not help. I feel that it is mainly the fact that all my steps have to be varied here. Many large steps to avoid rocks, or small steps to … also avoid rocks. The big steps cause much more impact on my entire system, which ruins the rest of the chain in a few hours.

A few hours later, I met Icarus and again! In fact, I had seen them before, when I was climbing the climb, but on the floors they were destroying me in speed. We walked a little together, and I learned how they put themselves on their way, what they are looking at with mileage, etc. While we were walking, I was attentive to some guests.

Two weeks ago, my friends Madi and Olivia visited me in Harper’s Ferry. Now, Madi’s parents came to visit you! They had parked on Fox Gap, which was approximately 3/5 on the road during my day, and walked south to meet with me. Through rocky terrain too! I linked to them, and then we quickly separated for a moment. They took the rocks, but instead they took a blue fire that avoided the worst of the rocks again, and I cannot blame them. He was slippery, wet and quite incomplete.

Later I met them, where they accompanied me to Fox Gap, and we talked about the path, about P in general and about Drum Corps! Jeff and I had really met, in Allentown, for the 2024 edition of the Regional International Drum International in J. Birney Crum. Then, it was quite coincidence that our next meeting would be so close to Allentown once more.
In Fox Gap, we stopped for a pleasant. Short rest for lunch. They had picked up a bit of Wawa for me, as well as fresh fruits and snacks! Although he was starving as he walked, the Wawa filled my stomach! However, it was good to fill fresh fruits while here. While walking, it’s the only thing my body definitely yearns!

After approximately an hour of rest time, we remove ourselves a little north. I showed you around a shelter, before making our farewells. I wished Jeff a happy father’s day, and then disappeared from the forest.

It has been interesting to see how my mental state fluctuates throughout this section of the path. Since I hit Pennsylvania, I have been yearning to leave more than ever, either through shelters or hotels. I think a part of that mental tension is the lack of familiarity with the path here. At least before reaching the road, I knew what I was generally in Virginia, and in all Virginia there have always been «obvious» city stops. But as the path is now enroll through the middle Atlantic, it seems that I am never more than 10 miles from another city, town or hotel option. Now I can see why people say you really feel that you are in the field in the AT. That is definitely the case throughout the AP until now.

The path here also veteing through many more abandoned service paths than anywhere else. They are bad rocks or easy hiking. Nothing paved, yes, there are rocks and roots everywhere. But it is a good postponement of everything. The descent to the Delaware water gap later was also … well. Steep, but many curves and steps. When I approached the city, I could listen to more one -day hikers.

Today’s rain was not so bad, but the inconvenience is all the stagnant water it does. Errors are out! Yeowch!

On the way from the parking lot in Delaware Water Gap, I was watching a ton to make sure not to go through Marty’s old yellow house, since I wanted nothing more to take off my socks and get out of the rain. I don’t know why I bothered, it was something impossible to lose. It turns out that the house is really old and yellow. I entered and checked the room, with a massive and comfortable real bed.

I washed, I made sure to take care of my feet and put on some loan clothes. I met Marty when he left, returning from his own father’s day dinner, before heading to visit the church in the city. It is the other shelter in the city, but with the way Lollygaging was, and its first arrival, the first service policy, knew it would not arrive on time. I didn’t realize that I would meet another bubble! The liter was full of hikers who took care of their businesses, and there were also some in the kingdom on the back. And it was lazy like everyone leaving there. Rain … rain … go …
Then I went to Sango Kura, the only Sake brewery throughout Pennsylvania! They had very good Japanese food and some really great retro things! Including a NES with Megaman! Megaman was probably one of the most important games for me, but I never had the opportunity to play it in the original hardware. So I had a good time sitting there, relaxing, playing in a CRT. The food was also first category. I strongly recommend anyone who stops there.

Back in Marty’s, I explored the old house a little and talked to him about … «shit.» Then, to my surprise, I returned to Spoonman! I thought about how I was moving forward, and my group of zeros from Harper’s Ferry would be far ahead of me. But it turns out that he has had the same set of foot problems that I have been having. With the wet it is everything and abrasiveness. Of the things that have gotten into our socks, their feet also have eruptions everywhere. EW.

Marty helped me start a salt bath, and then I sank into the big bed for the size of King. Ah, this is life …
