Connor Shields and Captain Ryan Edwards leave the Indian Super League (ISL) side Chennaiyin FC, the club announced on Friday.
Two-time ISL Cup winner Chenniyin FC finished 11th in the 2024-25 season, with which only seven victories of 24 games were obtained and collected 27 points.
Shields joined the marina agents in 2023. In 21 performances he registered five target contributions in his debut season. He was a productive chance maker for the Owen Coyle team and registered the highest number – 76 opportunities.
Shields also registered eight assists, the highest by each player in the 2024-25 season.
Edwards was an integral part of the Coyle system since he came to the club in 2023. He played in 42 games for the marina agents during his two -year -old Stint.
He played in 20 games in the 2024-25 season, in which he registered two clean sheets and also scored a goal.
