Correct trace, correct time – the walk

I tend to use my walks as markers, pointing out the passage of time. Last summer, my planned was the perfect time to change my approach to a different trail worldwide.

The right time

Like most of the paths on which I looked, the Tour du Mont Blanc got into my world in silence, and then everything at the same time. Not that he had never heard of that before, but he had never seriously considered walking along the path. That is, until last August, when the shots, and my general atmosphere, decided that I did not need to modify the Washington section of the PCT. I had found myself back at home with nothing to do, moving on Instagram. And so, I saw a publication about the TMB, and I decided in an instant that it was the next ideal path for me. Ah, and that best time to do it was the summer of 2025. I mean what could be better: it was short, but not too short, it was out of North America, and it was an ideal summer path. Not to mention that it was very easy for me to convince me that I needed to visit Italy before starting.

Seeing a fire extended along the path, he had just walking that morning.

The right trail?

Now I must say that the TMB took a level of planning that I have never experienced. The biggest obstacle is trying to build an itinerary and reserve every night 6-8 months in advance. I am sure that there are easier ways to do it, but first I dive into my head with non -negotiable dates and made its way. I had backs to my backs, I sent emails and completed forms. Honestly, I was very proud of myself to solve it.

And now here we are

So, suddenly, I blinked and sit in Chamonix, checking my phone with my partner and trying to remember everything I had chained. I am very grateful for October for making detailed tables on Google Docs with all our information. You don’t have to say that I am approaching our start date with my healthy dose of habitual uncertainty. I know he will take one or two days to enter the rhythm of things, but with my Google files, on the list, I am fueled to reach a path.
