Portugal national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo says the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the US, Mexico and Canada will certainly be his last.
“Certainly,” he said via video link to a Saudi forum, when asked if 2026 would be his World Cup swan song. «I’m turning 41 years old and I think this will be the time.»
Portugal top qualifying for Group F in Europe and can seal their place with a win over Ireland on November 13.
Next year’s edition will mark the Al Nassr forward’s sixth appearance in the quadrerrenial tournament.
