Cristiano Ronaldo scores as Al-Nassr breaks the club record with its fourteenth consecutive win in the competition

Leaders Al-Nassr claimed their longest ever winning streak in the Saudi Pro League with a 2-0 win over Al-Akhdoud thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao ‌Felix on Saturday.

Al-Nassr top the standings with 73 points from 28 games, five ahead of second-placed Al-Hilal with six games to go.

It was the fourteenth victory in a row for Al-Nassr, breaking the previous record from the 2013-2014 season, the Pro League reported on its website.

Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a shot from close range for his 24th goal of the season, three fewer than Al-Ahli’s top scorer Ivan Toney.

Joao Felix doubled Al-Nassr’s lead from close range two minutes into the second half, taking advantage of a rebound after Kingsley ‌Coman’s header hit the post.
