DAN DURSTON 2.0: Culton followers of Durston Gear, Innovations of Gear and Design Philosophy (BPR #321)

In today’s episode of Backpacker Radio presented by The Trek, presented by LMNT, Dan Durston unites us once again. Dan is the man behind Durston Gear, a brand of backpacking equipment that has exploded in popularity among long -distance backpacks in recent years.

Dan gives us the summary of how they have changed their business and their lives since the last time he was in the program, when another company was selling its designs exclusively through a third -party manufacturer, including the taking of a second mortgage at home, left his job as a biologist and dedicated himself to the packages, tents and posts of his light cult. Dan shares some ideas about why he believes that he has developed such a loyal follow -up between this community, the struggle to try to achieve a healthy work/life balance and the challenge of balanceing the climb of his company while maintaining the practical experience of customer service that his clients expect.
