Day 1 – 17.8 Miles – July 9

I woke up at my alarm around 6:30 am, at the silence of one morning in the lound of the lions. I got up, I packed my things, I grabbed my food from inside the kitchen area and prepared for the day. Of course, I had to sign the great names of names before I left, so I did that, and then I got a photo with the others that began the same day in front of him.

An incredible couple who helped the lion of the Lions took me some others along the land path of Harts Harts Pass, where we stopped to leave our results in the bears box and obtain our permits signed by the Ranger. Then we drove a few more minutes with the furthest we could go to start our walk to the north to the border, to repeat as much miles as possible.

I started on the path north around 8:30 am, in Sobo Mile 29.2. It was a fog day, probably in the 60s, and in general, in general, quite a good weather for walking. However, it rains periodically throughout the day, which became a bit annoying.

On the way I saw three trail workers, doing incredible job when cleaning the numerous spills of trees throughout the path. I was very lucky, mostly they were just in front of me, so I avoided having to climb again and again.

I arrived at Sobo Mile 11.4, just below Woody Pass around 4:30 pm I really didn’t have a plan where he wanted to camp exactly, I just wanted to feel it, so I decided to stop here. I felt good with the mileage, tired of the rain, and I found a good place.

I had dinner under my store a little later, the rain still bathed me slightly on me. A few hours after arriving at the site, 2 women appeared and camped near me, they had already labeled the border and headed south.

I was quite excited, although nervous, to start the walk. I knew I had enough food and had the whole team and everything, but I still couldn’t help thinking about all the things that could go wrong when you were out there.

I slept well, it rained periodically throughout the night, but it wasn’t too strong. My store held the one that was happy, this was the first time in the rain and only the sixth night is used! My shoes were also new to me. Those who planned to use was too exhausted, so I bought a new pair (new style and brand and everything) only two days before starting the walk. So far they are good!

See you in the next!
