I woke up this morning with my improved ankle injury, but certainly not completely cured. I went hard to walk last night to limp at a fairly good pace this morning. An injury immediately after 4 days zero was not on my hiking bingo card, but it is beginning to seem that this injury will not tear me down the road. You may have to make a soft day again today, and then jump to one of the resort cities to obtain additional food, but they are all easily solved problems.
I hope that as the day progresses, I looked at the injury this morning, and there is a brand in which I hit my ankle in the rock, and it is definitely tender around a small cut, but it is strange that it has not twisted or roll, only an impact wound, causing so much discussion when I walk.
Note: It turns out that this was a bone bruise that caused a significantly inflamed tendon.
Too distracted from walking with pain to write much more today …
