After taking care of city chores, I didn’t actually start walking until around 3:30. After three days of relaxing, it was hard to get back on the trail and leave Becky. I chose to take a short hike and have a chance to get enough sleep.

at the beginning of the trail

I came across a PCT runner. She is walking the path… with support. He was wearing running shorts, a t-shirt, and a hydration vest. She said it made her feel old. He runs between 46 and 47 hours a day.

Some children annoy their parents over a dog, cat, or pony. My daughter always asked for a llama. I couldn’t resist when I saw this poster.

Interesting rock just before I reach my camp.

I saw thunderstorms to the south and made sure my tent wasn’t the highest on the ridge in case the storms came my way. After I finished dinner and was in my tent, the storms passed through my area. There was some lightning about a mile from me. And there was heavy rain. But it mostly calmed down within an hour. I got everything into my tent/lobby before it started to really rain.

I left my tent at 10:30 and the sky was filled with stars.
