I felt sluggish today, like before a race when my legs just weren’t warmed up.

I talked to two women who had just finished a short backpacking trip and were playing cribbage while waiting for a ride home. They offered me some water.
Before I left that trail, I met Dan the Man and his oldest son, Neil. They were headed to work on a trail near Hobart’s Bluff.
Just like when I left Kathleen’s cabin, my butt is tender. I’ll have to make sure I clean it well. I used a little body slide today and that seemed to help for a while.
It rained lightly/moderately for a while before lunch today. But then it stopped and it’s been sunny ever since.

The water here at Hyatt Reservoir was also a pain. According to the maps, there are several water taps near the entrance. But they were all broken, forcing me to walk a mile round trip to the main camp to fill up. But I guess that really shouldn’t have mattered much to me, since I camped at the horse camp, right next to the reservoir. There were picnic tables at the horse camps, which is really convenient for preparing food.
