A beautiful morning

We were both excited to get going today. The Elkhorn Crest Trail is a big problem in these parts, and it is understandable that. It was a beautiful morning and we had 20 star miles to go to the Anthony Lake camp and David’s car. The Elkhorn Crest Trail was not far from the twin lakes and suddenly we were in it.

It is an interesting path because, although it is along the crest, it does not go up and down at each culminating point. Instead, connect the armchairs. Certainly there is some gain and loss in elevation, but not as much as it could.

Because the Elkhorn Crest Trail has such a north-south emphasis, I forgot how much west depth have the elkhorns. Photo: David Mildrexler.

The only surprises of today were the cattle on the path and a new road razed by a miner directly on the crest already through the path. We thought that cattle could have destroyed the only spring along the route, and we both breathe a great sigh of relief when we arrived at it and flowed wonderfully. It was perfectly located halfway.

At the crossroads with the Dutch flat lake path. Almost Anthony.

We did it!

We arrived at Anthony Lake just when today’s storm was preparing. I decided to stay in the camp in the last store available. This was a real camp, with tent pads, garbage boats, drinking water and lists. He felt luxury and was worth $ 14.

They installed me quickly due to the clouds of the building, while David took out his refrigerator outside the car. He had brought us a delicious picnic and had survived two and a half days in his car: cheese, salami, salty cookies, bananas, zucchini, oranges and terminal gravity IPA. We were swallowing everything, then David went to the road. Suddenly, I was alone, with only one IPA tg to get company. Then the heavens released and the rays approached. However, it didn’t last long. Somehow it seemed an appropriate end for these last days with David.
