Day 24: Rest in Gorham, Par 2

Our first official zero was here. There are no trail miles, maybe one or two miles for a brewery or around Walmart, but that does not count.

I was entering and going out of sleep to almost 8. This was a great change with respect to our typical attention of the 5 am singing birds. We listen that one of the types of ASA maintenance and prepares its own coffee, so Nick went to investigate that operation.

One of the best and coolest cups in the trail awaits us. The Five Corners Inn and Suites is an incredibly unpretentious establishment, but they have some wonderful gems hidden in this place. $ 60 by evening Rooms, not by head. The coffee configuration is more elegant than some other coffee shops for which I have paid excessively. Henry, the coffee man, is also a merchant. He equipped its ultraza coffee configuration with an online water filter to get the best water for coffee. Buy green coffee beans and handle them internally. He has only been in a coffee like this for about a year and roasted his for three months, but Holy Moly if he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

He bought some kind of coffee with mono manure that excites him. They clean it and disinfect it before exporting, but apparently it is the softer coffee cup that you have ever had.

I can’t recommend this place enough. It seems that there were some hikers who arrived last year and were true Turds for Nancy and his inn. We feel lucky to have arrived here early in the season, and it seems that we like it.

Nancy took us to Walmart so that we could replenish for the next section through the beginning of whites and the presidential tour.

After Walmart, we returned to the room to finish some more tasks to take us back and in good shape.

We got into the most appropriate clothes for the pool and headed through the street to another motel to swim. Both burned the sun a bit, but the water was a gift welcome after leaving on this 90 degree day.

Our dinner plans were to walk a mile to a local brewery to get us out of the room and get a good meal. Gorham is a super cute city surrounded by mountains.

We both have noodles full of vegetables and a meat topper with Brussels cabbage as an appetizer. The food and drinks were a bit expensive, like most establishments in New England, but everything was decent, and we didn’t care about the price that increases too much.

On the way back, we stopped at a service station to take ice cream and bright water and enjoyed them in our palace with air conditioning. We vegetated for the rest of the night, knowing that tomorrow we would return in the forest.

This break was very necessary, but I think we are both ready to return there.
