(October 31) Today’s plan was another 6+ mile day from Whiskey Hollow Shelter to the Tuckers Lane Trailhead near Interstate 66, where Matt’s husband, Dennis, would pick him up. Another quick pack and coffee/tea brew; Fortunately, yesterday afternoon’s water expedition meant we didn’t have to worry about filtering the water during the day. The day was much better today: a little windy, but not wet. So, we thought about an easy hike to end the day. …
