Day 35: Norwich A almost woodstock

At the end of the day, I can confirm that Vermont is not a joke. I entered this state waiting for things to be a little easier. While we are no longer reaching the peaks of more than 4,000 feet, we have a similar elevation profile, only dispersed more throughout the day.

Our day began after 6 in the morning! We were able to sleep a little in our bunk beds because the post office did not open until 9 am we both have new shoes waiting for us, so this is a critical retention point. In general, we are out of the camp before 7 in these days, so we plan to walk a little later than usual to compensate for it.

Let’s go to the general store called Dan & Whit’s for coffee and breakfast sandwiches. His fillet, egg and cheese in an English muffin was divine. They even have small packets from Sriracha, so I took some for future meals.

We chose some lunch sandwiches to pack too. Fresh vegetables are a blessing along the way.

We returned to the Church to finish packing, and Nick cleaned her a little while I ordered my things. He pulled out the overflowing hiker and swept the floors.

Finally it was time to collect our box. We quickly packed the additional treats we send ourselves, we throw our old shoes and return to the path.

Day 35: Norwich A almost woodstock

I had some quite important holes and after putting these new shoes, I think that part of that reason is that my feet can be overcoming my usual size 9. This happens to many hikers. I just thought my feet grew in length instead.

We walked through many grass fields and made tick checks to each other after almost all.

I think we are starting to find the bubble of hikers to the north now. We probably saw about thirty during our day. One Man was a producer of location on the television program Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Another is a teacher in Penn State. We met a man named Ghee’s wizard. I think we go to another sobo we have been hanging from the Matas. It’s called crochet, and we have been listening to how it is ahead of us. We push a little more strength today, so we assumed that she had already camp to spend the night somewhere.

Tomorrow we will be in Rutland, VT, meeting our friend Nema, Bugs. We picked it up when I was walking through Virginia and took her to the days of path with us. We have planned to hang out once we cross the paths, and tomorrow is the day! We have 23 miles to get there and, hopefully, take a bus before 6:15 pm. It will be difficult after today’s thrust, but it will be worth it when we can take another day zero. It has been almost a week since we washed clothes or shower, so these dirty hikers need to cool off, soon!
