Our morning began with blueberries and coffee manufactured by caregivers. FIB and hot hands were excellent hosts. We packed and left the cabin after 8 in the morning and were on our cheerful road.
It was going to be another hot and humid day, but six miles inside, we reached a road with a refrigerator. Inside there were cold drinks, ice cream, palettes and other snacks. The stand was located just between a hot and open field and a good uphill. This stop was more than welcome.
After we pay our tab and gather our warm bodies, we start the hill. We find another open field, exhausting my life!
It was a slow mid -afternoon. I took a bit of coffee to help my case, and soon I returned to the horse.
During the last stretch of the day, I was looking at our guide for any signs of swimming water in our future. There was a pond that could take a blue fire to reach a state park! I asked Nick if he was interested, and happily forced him.
Beartown State Forest has a sandy swimming area and reserves camps. We ask with the host of the camp, and have designated free sites for hikers. Score! Before visiting the situation of the camp, we had to enter the water. While we were preparing for this, another couple approached and asked if we were walking. It turns out that the lady, the school bus, is a Nobo but was injured in New York. She is healing out of the train with her husband until she can return and finish.
The school bus told us to go through its camp so that we can buy some of its replenishments that you are not using.
He jumped into the water and talked to some other people interested in what we were doing. We realized how close we are from Great Barrington, Ma, and we began to seek pizza delivery.
I was able to put an order of Dordash, and we proceeded to find our camp and configured. It was a little out of the way, but I had a box of bears, a table and a grill.
We went to the school bus site while we waited for the pizza. She and her husband were very friendly and offered us a lot of food and some drinks.
There was a problem with food delivery, so the school bus husband offered to collect pizza for us. Nick went with him, and I stayed and I could meet her. She was such a pleasant woman and she is also a blogger here on the walk!
Finally we obtained pizza and wings and went down with a couple of root beers. We said our good night to our paths of trails and headed to bed. It was hot all day and it didn’t cool much for our dream.
