- Reed Gap (845.5), Love Mountain, Zero
- 0 feet rise, 0 feet of descent
We expected to return to Reed Gap today and start the 2 -day walk to Rockfish Gap. For reasons that none of us can understand, we spend the whole day in bed seeing Gray’s anatomy and eating.
He was assaulting outside and our small hiker room was tight, calm and private. Lying on the bed felt good, so we stayed.
The rain began
When I woke up at 6:30 am, the rain hit the windows and the historian was not in our room. Soon he returned with a great fat Bangel, half eaten. Our room came with access to a kitchen and bathroom.
Last night, long after midnight from the hiker, we listened to the pattern of what sounded like 1000 young children. He made us smile asleep, remembering our grandchildren’s footsteps when they were little and stayed at our house.
This morning, the Hiador had met the families and they, being hikers of yesteryear, offered him food. I considered stretching my hand to give it a bite, but I remembered that I needed calories more than me.
Instead, I raised his free hand and asked him if he would like a quiet zero instead of dodging lightening storms. In fact I would.
Transforders
I sent a text message with our Waynesboro reservation to see if they could pick us up at Reed GAP instead of Rockfish GAP. They could. Another text message confirmed that we could stay where we were during the day.
We were jumping ahead, so I would have to duplicate, but it gave us three complete zeros without having to make important changes or refueling. My shoes that fall on the way back would cease to be a problem and we could hide from the apparently ever finished electric storms with possibilities of local tornadoes and floods. «
The long -range forecast promised a clear climate. We feel a bit too loose but also relieved. Once committed to the lazy plan, we did a masterful job when executing it.
Breakfast
Bagel Aperiter finished, the historian was ready for breakfast. There was a basmati rice bag in the kitchen. I bent down the ceiling cantilever to avoid the rain and ran towards the kitchen.
Thirty minutes later, we were enjoying the abundant risotto for breakfast. Using our cream cheese, yogurt powdered, linen seeds and Caribbean spices that I found in the cabinet, slowly cook the rice on a real stove.
We take our bowls to our room. There were no chairs, so we lean on the bed. We launched a new Gray’s Anatomy season on our transmission platform and got into the rice.
Lunch
A few hours later, we got into a frozen lasagna available in the accommodation company. He liked a bit of not dropping any of the rooms of the white sheets. Loving irony, we congratulate ourselves to be so adaptable in the absence of chairs.
Dinner in bed
I would like to say that we take an afternoon exercise return before cooking our Curry of Organic Organic Tomato dehydrated at home.
We did not do it. We keep watching Gray’s Anatomy and appreciate being dry. After dinner, we throw caution in the wind and stay awake beyond midnight from the hiker to see a more episode of Gray’s Anatomy.
Sleeping in bed
Our brains rotten to watch television, we turned around and went to sleep. He did not take any effort to reconcile the dream. Our habitual pain and pains of the exercise had been calmed for a quiet rest day.
