Day 8: registration miles and registration thoughts between records

An early climb to start on the 8th

It was definitely a cold night last night. Definitely colder than I expected. I got up on the previous side and started. I wanted to finish the climb in Holy Cross Wilderness before things warm up. The views of the crest were beautiful. There was a lake and a meadow at the top of the climb that looked so serene in the morning light. I briefly thought about a swimming, but it hadn’t yet warm up so much.

After a full day of walking with copper and snow angel, I was definitely a little more in my thoughts today while walking alone. It was a good opportunity to reflect on a full week along the way. In general, I still feel physically strong and I am very grateful for this opportunity. I know that I shouldn’t look forward, but knowing that I am only a third of the way through this trip made me feel a bit nostalgic. I miss my children. I long for the opportunity to listen to your day. My son probably made arc in the camp yesterday. My daughter probably practiced her scooter on the entrance path. The daily moments that may seem worldly outside the road are consuming my thoughts today on the road. I can’t wait to enter the exit so we can chat by video!

Always new people to meet

The day on the path was a little less spectacular than the last. Especially in trees. The epic scenes eluded me on this day. Even so, one day in the forest is better than one day in the cube. Towards the end of the day, I met another hiker named Four Note. He is a Chicago school teacher. After walking along the PCT last year, he fell in love with the backpacking lifestyle. It has an impressive list of upcoming walks. Four note was a real delight. We speak above all, from how to teach children of the future and how to inspire children to find their passions. This was an unforgettable moment and I can’t wait to take some of these thoughts home and incorporate them into my parenting style.

Little storm before a perfect camp

The path continued wandering around the forest. Like four notes and I began to descend to the mass path of the mountain, we began to listen to thunder and the sky opened a little. Nothing too bad, but I had to pay a little more attention to my feet falling down a damp path.

I arrived at the mass path of the mountain and decided to camp. It is a beautiful place. There are excellent views of the crest and the slow current that runs to the side. I do not suspect that it will be a warm place, but it will do it! I will appear in the town of Twin Lakes in the morning to make a quick refueling and take a meal before addressing the full day.

Pink, spine and sprout

Rose: Knowing four notes. I am amazed by how every day produces a new connection and inspiration.

Thorn: There are not many landscapes today. I felt like walking in New England again.

BUD: Tomorrow I’m going to Twin Lakes Village. The idea of a city meal will always be an outbreak.
