Yes, I didn’t feel very good yesterday. Everything seemed a fight. And my body was complaining.

But I did several things last night and this morning and seemed to help:

1 I ate and slept well
2 I sinned my heel/Achilles: this was not part of my routine in the cabin, so I forgot before I go
3 I used the body sliding on my feet, nor part of the cabin routine
4 I clean my rear: what enters should leave. I ate a lot in the cabin. My butt is a little irritated. Enough said …
5 I stretched my legs. Stretching seems to reduce problems with my Achilles
6 Keep my rain team at the top of my backpack, to be ready if it rained more constantly today

During my first three miles, I noticed that I had none of the pains I had yesterday. I felt good and energetic. This continued mainly during the next 20 miles. My legs tired a little at the end, but I could have continued walking, except that I want to let my body rest. That it began to rain slightly was one more reason why I stopped.

Today he answered the question: «Why not stop?» I know that the whole advice is not to quit on a bad day, that things will probably improve. Today he confirmed this personally for me: I could overcome the way I felt yesterday.

I experienced a couple of trail magic cases today

First, Ben provided magic near the Jackson camp. He aspires to make some long backpack trips and wanted to help other hikers. He had a variety of food that hikers could appreciate. What seemed most interesting to me were the water jugs. Apparently they filled with a tap, but he kept them in a refrigerator with enough cold packages so that the water was really refreshing.

Secondly, there were Gatorade, Mandarina and snacks like magic near Wild Plum RD near the end of the walk.

Second Trail Magic

While sitting at Ben’s Trail Magic Spot, he began to rain lightly. He stopped shortly after, but recovered again near the end of my walk. The threat of rain had constantly attentive to decent store sites in case the skies were opened and wanted to take refuge quite quickly.

I was raining slightly when I finally decided to find a place for the night. I really didn’t find any established place, and there was very little land that was really flat. But I found some land among some oaks about 50 yards on the path that were not too inclined. I cleaned some sticks, prepared my store and then entered to take care of the rain.

… And some have to turn around (I’m standing next to this fallen tree).

The signals in this area are really solid and clear

I had fun taking a selfie in this rock window. I arrived at my arm around the rocks to put my phone on the other side of the window
