Day 98 – Ashland – The Trek

I camped in Oregon last night. I arrived at the border around 6 pm, I had a little celebration and then I walked 3/10 from one mile to a camp. Yesterday there were many bursts in the first miles, but after that, the path was wonderful. I hope more of the same today.

I’m going to let the path in my body decide how far I get today. I have reservations that start tomorrow night in Ashland, so I’m not in a hurry. On the other hand, if the path is as easy as yesterday, he could probably get to Callahan Lodge for dinner. However, plan B is to stop at about three or 4 miles short, and then slide for breakfast tomorrow.

It’s fun, I’m anxious for days off and acting more like a human again. But I also can’t wait to leave and crush the rest of Oregon. I really want to see how I feel on the way after a couple of solid rest days. We will see what happens.

I ended up going to Callahan’s Lodge. It’s time to rest!
