Brazilian attacker Antony has completed a permanent transfer from Manchester United to Real Betis, the Premier League side announced on Monday.
Antony returns to the Spanish side after reinventing his form, scoring nine goals in 26 games and becoming a fan favorite at the club.
He helped reach the UEFA Conference League final, based in Seville, with four goals and three assists.
Antony had signed for United of Ajax in the summer of 2022 and appeared 96 performances for the club and scored 12 goals. Under manager Erik ten Hag he won the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
«Everyone at the club would like to wish Antony good luck for the future,» United said in a statement.
The Brazilian becomes the newest player who leaves the club after he has gotten out of favor at United, after Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof. Hojlund and Rashford were lent respectively to Napoli and Barcelona, while Lindelof joined Aston Villa at Aston Villa after he had left United for free.
